In response to feedback from operational security communities, CAIDA's source address validation measurement project (https://spoofer.caida.org) is automatically generating monthly reports of ASes originating prefixes in BGP for systems from which we received packets with a spoofed source address. We are publishing these reports to network and security operations lists in order to ensure this information reaches operational contacts in these ASes. This report summarises tests conducted within nld. NLNOG Board Changes & First Annual Meeting
by me＠natha.info 23 Jun '25

23 Jun '25

Hi all, I wanted to share a few updates from the NLNOG board. After five years of chairing the board, I have handed over the chair position to Teun Vink. I'll remain on the board until NLNOG Day (30 September) to help with the transition. A healthy organisation needs change now and then. After ten years on the board, it feels like the right moment. We have an amazing team and a healthy financial basis. I'm very proud to have worked with such a great bunch of people over the years. Teun has been an active contributor to the NLNOG community for over twenty years, and I'm very happy he stepped up to take over. On that note, we’ve also had a shift in the secretary role: Cas de Reuver has taken over as secretary. Good luck and have fun, Cas! Another milestone: today, we held our first-ever annual meeting! During the meeting, we reviewed and approved our financial statements, which were prepared by an actual accountant (yes, we’re getting fancy 😄). Thanks for being part of the community and helping us keep NLNOG strong and fun. See you at NLNOG Day! Cheers, Nathalie Trenaman on behalf of the NLNOG Board

LET OP: Vrijdag treinstaking / train strike on Friday!
by Teun Vink 11 Jun '25

11 Jun '25

Hi Everyone, Unfortunately, a train strike has been announced for this Friday, when Lekker Weer NLNOG is taking place. There will be no trains available in the North and South of the Netherlands, and it is still unclear if the trains will ride at all. Possibly, Ede-Wageningen will be reachable by train. To make it possible for people traveling by public transport to join Lekker Weer NLNOG when there are no trains available, we’ve created a page where people traveling by can indicate availability of seats on their route. You can also let others know you’re looking for a ride there. The page is available at https://hd.teun.tv/bhAxQg4wQfO40-ikxBJsIA, and a number of people have already offered rides there. Please add your availability so we can make sure many people will still be able to attend. Of course we hope that many of you will still be able to make it on Friday! The weather forecast is great for a barbecue, so we hope to see you there! Groetjes/kind regards, On behalf of the NLNOG board, Teun
