Hi all,

Might be interesting to start a thread on how to use the Triple LoRaWAN
modules that were handed out at the quiz.

Quickstart guide: https://www.dropbox.com/s/679gjqza5fk5tp3/LoRa%20QuickStart%20Guide%20(English).pdf?dl=0

Another guide: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/labs/story/the-things-uno-getting-started

There are two methods to connect to the network: OTAA or ABP. I found
this https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/forum/t/what-is-the-difference-between-otaa-and-abp-devices/2723/5
so OTAA might be the better method to connect.

I'm reading everywhere that it is highly recommended to use an external
antenna, it took me some puzzling but I found where you can solder on a
connector and attach an antenna: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b7va5k4ncbndfex/2016-09-11%2013.33.24.jpg?dl=0

Arjen Zonneveld found in the manual that these components could be used:
antenna 712-ANT-868-CWHWRRPS: http://nl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Linx-Technologies/ANT-868-CW-HWR-RPS/?qs=K5ta8V%252bWhtZGU0hJqAlijQ%3D%3D
connector 712-CONREVSMA003.062: http://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Linx-Technologies/CONREVSMA003062/?qs=K5ta8V%252bWhtYpGXyO%2fIVXOg%3d%3d
Any recommendations on where to buy those? What other accessories would
be useful?

You can search for gateways nearby with the help of this map. The
coverage is an estimate, always consider that brick is good at killing
RF. Antenna's & being in line of sight of the gateway can
